Good morning.
Yesterday, I had the chance to see the fireworks at Lake Kawaguchi for the first time. The event is called Kojo-sai, and it was absolutely fantastic.
I went to see the fireworks with Torigoe-san, a well-known radio personality who says “Torigoend” in his radioshow.
We spent some time searching for a good spot to view the fireworks. Due to popularity of the event, there were many people gathered around the lake. Eventually, we found a great spot nearby the Komagari viewing area.
I also enjoyed the food at many stands called Yatai. Yatai give us a pleasant feeling. The festival is coming soon! The atmosphere created by Yatai is essential for the festival.
We walked about 7 to 8 kilometers from our hotel to that place and then returned.
When we go back to the hotel, there were many cars. The cars were moving very slowly. They were even slower than us walking.
It was a great sight, and I had a good feeling seeing many Yatai, people, and cars. I could truly understand the atmosphere of Kojo-sai.
